riding culture

Horsemanship is a way of life in Wyoming. Being a part of this culture is an essential experience for our guests. With small group sizes and experienced wranglers to guide you over diverse and challenging terrain, riding from the Ranch is much more than a typical nose-to-tail outfit.

the program

To help ensure a comfortable and safe ride, horses are selected to match each rider's ability and experience level. We offer riding lessons in the arena, and 1 hour, 2 hour, and 4 hour rides on the trail.

trail riding

Riding is available daily starting the first of June, depending on trail conditions, through September 15. Typically, rides take out in the morning and the afternoon; guests are encouraged to sign up for riding at the time of booking. Riders must be at least 8 years of age; special exceptions may be made for advanced riders under age 8. For all rides, the minimum number of riders is two. If you’re in Cody country but not staying here at the ranch you can still do a trail ride - just give us a call to make a reservation.
